District 4 Deserves Better.

Supervisor Joel Engardio refuses to listen to our voices – the voices of his constituents. He lacks accountability, transparency, and disregards our safety. That’s why he deserves to be recalled.

Recall Engardio

When Joel Engardio campaigned to be our Supervisor, he promised to keep the Great Highway compromise in place and to make our district safer. He even put his promise in writing.

Then last fall, without talking to the majority of his constituents, Joel Engardio placed Proposition K on the ballot to close the Great Highway permanently to vehicles.

Did he ask us? Did he listen to us?

District 4 voted 63.7% for the Great Highway compromise – keep the Great Highway open to cars during the week and closed on the weekends. When Joel Engardio put Prop K on the ballot, he claimed he was listening to his district, but he held no town halls or community meetings.

Recall Engardio

Joel Engardio promised us transparency. He promised to be the voice of the Sunset, but how could he make this decision without consulting us? Joel Engardio decided that the voices of a handful of ultra wealthy campaign donors who don’t live in District 4 were more important than the views of his constituents. He clearly does not speak for us.

That’s why we gathered over 11,000 signatures from District 4 voters to put the recall of Supervisor Joel Engardio on the ballot September 16th.

Joel Engardio claims this recall is uncalled for, yet he is a big believer in recalls. He actively supported the recall of 4 sitting elected officials – campaigning for the recall of the former District Attorney and several school board members. He fought to remove them from office for not listening to the voters on important issues of the day.

Recall Engardio

District 4 voted against Prop K – overwhelmingly. If Joel Engardio didn’t know that was going to happen – he was out of touch, not listening, not talking to us or he deliberately defied our will. Either way, he deserves to be recalled.

Join us. Give the people of District 4 a real voice on the Board of Supervisors – one we will always be able to count on to represent us – especially when it matters most.

One thing we know for sure, we cannot count on Joel Engardio to be our voice.
